About Me
My name is Mikael Kindborg. I develop mindfulness methods.
In 1983 I learnt how to program in Lisp. Since then I have been coding professionally in over 30 programming languages. Now I am finding out how to reprogram my mind. Being consiously present has made me appreciate the joy of simply existing. Mindfulness has a vast potential, for individuals, organizations, and society as a whole.
Several years ago, my life took an unexpected turn. I became infected with Lyme disease, and developed an anxiety disorder. It was as if my mind was hacked. Eventually, I tried mindfulness. However, attending the mindfulness classes made the anxiety worse. Then I started experimenting on my own. I began doing mindfulness in nature, and discovered that connecting to my physical reality was effective for letting go of anxiety and worries. Since then I have researched mindfulness methods on a daily bases and applied mindfulness to nearly all aspects of my life.
I have a background as a University teacher and hold a PhD in Visual Programming. I am also certified Rosen Method Movement Teacher. Combining body awareness with mindfulness methods can bring much joy and freedom to our lives.
Shamanic practices, such as soul flight mediation, have had a substantial influence on the kind of mindfulness I do. In particular, I have found connecting with The Four Elements to be very beneficial.
I have created Ancient Mantras — a meditation game for calm, friendship, and joy. Learn more about this game at AncientMantras.com.
In addition, I offer mindfulness consulting services and online courses. If you are in a relationship, I recommend that you try out Mindful Touch for Couples. This is a very safe form of touch that connects people to the present moment. The online Mindful Touch workshop is a perfect gift for you and your partner. You can also do mindful touch together with a date, a close friend, or a family member.
