Physical Mindfulness Explained

Physical Mindfulness is very practical. It is a concrete technique that you can learn in 10 minutes. It is designed to quickly increase your awareness of the physical present.

Here are the basic steps:

  1. Become aware of the present moment.
  2. Become aware of your existence.
  3. Become aware of your body.
  4. Become aware of your contact with your surroundings - the physical present.
  5. Acknowledge that your physical existence is real. Thouch things. Knock on things. Feel the contact with the ground and with the air.

The above takes you out of the thought loop that spins in your head. Out of the past and the future and into the present now. To actually touch things consciously with your awareness is the key to why this method works.

You can do Physical Mindfulness in just a few minutes. For best results, practice every day.

Mindfulness needs to be cultivated. Make it a daily habit to connect to your body and your surroundings.
